“Damn it!” Alden roared. “Get the first aid kit! They’re just unconscious… Emma, help me with Serenity and Paul. Use some alcohol to wake them up!”

Alden’s voice was filled with desperation as he tried to process the nightmare unfolding before him.

Emma ran to the bathroom to grab the first aid kit, trembling with fear, while Alden frantically searched the house for the three missing children.

“Damn it! How could I have been so stupid and let my guard down?” Alden shouted, his voice full of frustration as he turned the house upside down.

When it became clear the children were nowhere to be found, Alden wasted no more time and called Maximus. Meanwhile, Emma worked to revive Serenity and Paul. Serenity was the first to regain consciousness, slowly coming to while Emma continued helping Paul.

“Emma… what happened to us?” Serenity asked weakly.

“Honey, Alden got a call from your father. Apparently, they ve found us. And the kids… Serenity, the kids are missing.”

Serenity’s face turned pale. She couldn’t remember much; she had been walking one moment and now had just woken up.
