After Peter left Valerie alone with her daughter, Serenity sat beside her mother, hugged her tightly, and felt the warmth of her embrace surrounding her.

“Mom! You have no idea how much I miss you…” Serenity said with absolute certainty.

“Serenity, sweetheart… I’m close by. You can call me anytime, and if you ever need me to come, I will. You can still visit home like before. I know you shouldn’t be driving in your condition, but a driver can always take you,” Valerie said as she watched her daughter’s eyes fill with tears.
