Chapter 1000

Serenity stood in front of the mirror, gazing at her reflection. She looked stunning. The dress highlighted both her beauty as a woman and the grace of a mother–to–be.

Her sister, Laura, was with her, carefully adjusting the final touches to the tiara their mother had crafted with so much love and effort.

Meanwhile, John, Ethan, and Ellie were already at the church, preparing for the wedding march. John would carry Serenity’s train, Ellie would

Scatter flower petals, and Ethan would carry the ring pillow.

Today, Serenity and Alden were bringing together four families: Valerie, who was originally a Preston; Marcus Bartz; Peter Palmer; and now, with Maximus, the Evans family.

These families, once fractured, were now united–stronger wiser, and, surprisingly, filled with more women. Just as Maximus had once said, they were the ones destined to break the Palmer curse.

Valerie entered Serenity’s room, carrying the jewelry Maximus had gifted his daughter. She knew their sentimental value, so she had taken the time to clean and polish them until they gleamed.

Even though everyone knew Catherine wasn’t related to Maximus by blood, wearing her jewelry was a way to acknowledge the little she had done for the Preston family, despite the hardships.

“Sweetheart, you look beautiful! I can’t believe this day has finally come,” Valerie said, eyes brimming with tears. She couldn’t help but recall her own two weddings. The first had been a complete disaster–everything had gone wrong from the very start. But one good thing had come from it: her daughter.

For her and only for her, she was willing to set aside all the painful memories.

Then there was her wedding to Marcus, a day filled with love and meticulously planned details. Everything had been done to celebrate the union of two people deeply in love.

“Thank you, Mom! You look beautiful too! Honestly, you don’t age at all… anyone would think time doesn’t touch you,” Serenity said as she let her mother fasten the jewelry onto her.

Valerie whispered, unable to hold back
