After Valerie finished talking to Pedro, they looked in my direction. Upon seeing me, a trace of surprise appeared in Pedro's eyes. Valerie seemed to know what he was thinking. She whispered a few more words in his ear, and then Pedro returned to his usual self. Aaron let go of me and stepped forward to greet Pedro.

Regaining my freedom, I immediately went to seek Hendrix. But Hendrix had just finished talking with Pedro, and he was nowhere in sight.
