I was no longer interested in this conversation, so I angled my body to walk around her.

Suddenly, she reached out and grabbed my arm. Thoroughly annoyed, I frowned at her. "What else do you want to say, Miss Zanes?"

She smiled insidiously. "I have plenty to say. Since you are so calm about everything, then you might be calm about death too, am I right?"

With that, she changed her grip, intending to push me into the pool.

I didn't know how to swim. I twisted away and forcefully pinched her arm to let me go.

She jerked back in pain, and the momentum drove her away from me, towards the pool. So because of inertia, what was supposed to be me falling into the pool, turned into her falling instead. She fell in with a loud splash, an oddly pleasurable sound.

A beautiful woman falling into the water garnered a certain amount of attention. Not that the woman in question enjoyed the attention.
