I got out of the car and went back to the villa. Hendrix had said that morning that we would have dinner together. I gave it some thought, and supposed that it would be better for me to prepare some dishes myself.

The refrigerator was piled up with a lot of vegetables and meat, and there were also many ingredients for me to cook with.

After a lot of work, I finally finished preparing four different dishes. I looked at my cell phone and gave Hendrix a call.

My call couldn't get through, and I sat down at the dining table to send him a text message.

It was almost eight o'clock in the evening, yet I failed to hear the sound of a car engine. I dialed his number again, but my call still couldn't get through.

I called Evan. After a few beeps, he picked up the phone, greeting me, "Madam!"

"Evan, is Hendrix with you now?" I asked.

Evan seemed to have known that I would ask that, so he said, "Mr. Roberts is still in the conference room. When he comes out of the conference room, I will notify him to call you back."
