The office fell silent once again. Something still didn't seem right, but neither Evan or I was able to figure out what it was.

All of a sudden, the sound of a door opening could be heard from behind him. Hendrix turned around and caught sight of a familiar figure in front of him.

He stood by the entrance with no expression on his face. He looked splendid with his delicately outlined features as he stood at the doorway. He looked as if he was still a well-groomed youth in his twenties. I had never been more happy and excited than I was right now, when I saw him standing in front of me. Safe and sound.

I could no longer restrain the helplessness I felt in my heart as I approached Hendrix and held him tightly. When I breathed in the familiar scent of his body, I was overwhelmed with relief, "I'm glad that you're alright," I said.

"Why did you come here all of a sudden?" Hendrix asked gently as he stroked the top of my head lightly. But then his voice turned cold when he spoke to Evan, "You can go now." Evan took the hint and left immediately. He did not want to disturb our moment together.

As the door to the office was shut, I pulled myself away from Hendrix's embrace, and frowned at him, "Where were you? Why didn't you pick up my call?".

Hendrix wasn't in a hurry to answer me. Instead, he gently led me to the sofa and sat down with me. He then slowly poured out a glass of water and handed it to me, saying, "Here, have some water first."

I couldn't keep calm. Putting the glass aside, I pressed on anxiously, "You're hiding something from me, aren't you?"
