Once Hendrix was sure that the little fellow was completely distracted, he raised his head and with his sharp gaze, instantly locked his eyes onto Freya and Evan while he said gravely, "Now, you may speak." Because of his tenacious figure and overbearing presence, even thought there wasn't a hint of anger on his face, he looked downright intimidating as he sat on his chair.

I could tell, more or less, what was happening, but I wasn't entirely sure. All I could do was to stare intensely at Freya.

Hendrix's imposing manner was frightening, and didn't even look angry. Freya could only risk it as she exclaimed, "You heard me. I want Arianna and Wynn to be together again. Nothing should stop a mother from being with her own son!"

Freya had already told me about this before, so I wasn't surprised.

I wanted to see how Hendrix would react.

Hendrix happened to look over and fixed his gaze on me for a second before he looked away.

Right after that, he brought his gaze down as if he had just heard a childish joke. He sneered and asked, "What then?"

Freya had to bite the bullet as she opened her mouth again, "She's your only wife."

After that, she seemed to realize how bold she was at this moment, so she stared at Hendrix discreetly with a cautious look on her face.

Hendrix was really good at concealing his emotions, his face looked apathetic. It was silent yet frightening.
