Chapter 2034

A second before the elevator doors closed, Hendrix managed to catch up. He had a smile on his face. He seemed to be gloating.

I rolled my eyes at him and didn't speak to him.

As soon as we arrived back at the basement carpark, I strolled out without hesitating and walked over to the car. I picked up Aurellia in my arms and got into the car. "Mommy, what did you leave behind?" Aurellia asked with her cute, puppy eyes.

I felt like crying but had no tears to shed. Did my dignity count?

"Nothing." I didn't want to think about how that sales assistant looked at me. I quickly changed the topic. "Let's go home. I'm exhausted. We can talk later, ok?"

"Okay!" Aurelia moved out of my embrace and sat down obediently. She imitated Evan and said, "Mr. Clark, let's go!"

After that, Hendrix slowly got into the car. He sat down and pouted at Aurellia as if to say, "Did you forget about your own father?"

Aurellia stuck out her tongue and hid behind Anne, pretending not to notice him staring at her.
