After I heard this, I glanced at the document in my hand and gave a slight nod. Pursing my lips, I asked, "So, I'm now the wealthiest person in the world?"

It didn't especially make me happy. After all, I didn't care much for money right now. I much preferred the opportunity to accompany my children as they grow up and to grow old with Hendrix. "You could say that," Hendrix uttered calmly.

"Wow!" I looked at him and smiled with a feigned look of surprise before placing the documents back on the table. I then said, "I have now experienced the feeling of being the wealthiest person in the entire world. Ok, where's the document you need me to sign to reverse this? Take it out. You don't need to tell me about any of this next time. You're still in charge."

The transfer of shares was to keep Jennifer at bay, and right now, since everything was already settled, Hendrix was probably letting me go through these documents before I would sign another one that would return the shares to him. Only then would he be eligible to sign off on some other important documents.

He did this out of respect for our relationship, but then he had always been confident in his business affairs. Everything that was happening right then seemed to be very unnecessary.

Hendrix, however, shrugged and played dumb. "What document are you talking about?"

Being rendered speechless, I wanted to see what kind of trick he had up his sleeves. "The document where I would then transfer the shares back under your name. Do you want me to remain as the richest person in the world?"

Hendrix's smile widened. "Can't I?"
