When I first met Naomi on the island, I was surprised at how she lived. Even when she was pregnant with Sebastian's child, she kept her pregnancy a secret from everyone. It was apparent that she intended to raise the child on her own.

"How did you convince Naomi to come to the island in the first place?" It was clear from the reaction earlier that Naomi was more hostile towards Hendrix than she was with me.

Hendrix was a businessman. When he persuaded Naomi, he must have set her specific terms. My guess was that Naomi had a grudge against him as he had broken his promises.

With a self-deprecating smile, Hendrix said, "You've guessed it again. I won't be able to keep any secrets from you now that you've gotten so clever."

"Stop joking around and be serious. Did you not keep your promise to her because you lost your memory after the explosion?" If that was the case, we owed Naomi a mountainous debt of gratitude. Hendrix placed his other hand on the steering wheel. His eyes looked slightly misted as he sat up straighter and leaned back in the leather chair. "I promised her I'd keep Sebastian alive."

So that was the reason.
