She took a deep breath. “But it’s fine now. We can go back.”

With that, she stepped out from under the umbrella, walking into the rain.

The kittens had fled at the sight of Emyr earlier.

When they saw Charmaine was leaving, they walked past Emyr, scurried toward her, and meowed.
