Chapter 9 What A Manger

Maddy raised her head and looked at the glass wall of the building.

Maddy squeezed into the crowd with the help of Dex’s security guards. Looking at Tyrone rolling on the ground, she felt an

Tyrone saw her and stood up and patted the dust on his body. “You’re here at the right time, Ask Nate to come down and talk about
the division of property after the divorce.”
“I said, his money has nothing to do with me.”
Upon hearing that, Tyrone raised his voice. “How can it not be? Did you sleep with him for the past three years in vain? What a joke!
He’s playing with a woman outside and doesn’t give me money. Can anyone else let him go?”
Maddy opened her mouth but realized she liad nothing to say to him. She turned and said to Dex, “Call the police.”
Dex nodded slightly.
After Maddy left, Tyrone rushed over and pulled her, “How could you just leave like this? Who am I doing this for? I’ll take some of
the money I need, and the rest will be yours! You’re still giving me a hard time. I raise you for so many years!”
Maddy shook off his hand, “You know why. If you want to make a scene, you can continue. I’ll be free for two days if you’re caught. By
the way, I won’t bail you out, and neither will Mervin. Just stay at the police station. Eat and drink, and your debtor won’t be able to find
you.”
Tyrone slapped her on the face and glared at her. “What are you saying? I’ve raised you and your brother. Now that you don’t need
me and married to a wealthy man, and you’re looking down on me, aren’t you?”
“Whatever you think.”
The crowd around her grew more and more. Maddy did not want to stay any longer, she lowered her head and left quickly.

Tyrone had been making a scene for a long time, but Nate did not show up. Finally, Maddy arrived. Now that she left, they called the

Dex replied, “Yes.”
Nate unlocked luis phone and sent Maddy a message,
“3pm, City Hall”
Ten minutes later, he received a reply, “Okay.”
Maddy sat on a bench by the street. After replying to the message, she put her phone back into her bag, crossed her legs, and buried
her face in her knees.
If she could, she really wanted to go to a place that no one knew and start over.
No Tyrone, no Nate, no humiliation.
After some time, Maddy wiped her tears and was about to wait at the City Hall. However, she felt dizzy the moment she stood up, and
the whole world started to spin,
