Chapter 461

Victor watched as Isadora's silhouette slipped from the room and disappeared down the hall.

He wandered out onto the balcony, one hand in his pocket, his gaze as dark as midnight as he studied the garden below. Pulling out his phone, he dialed a number.

"Did you take care of the ring?"

Finley's lazy drawl floated through the receiver. "Come on, you know I get things done. The rough diamond's already been sourced from Africa. It's a rare, vivid blue—far more precious than your average sapphire. Next step is to have it cut into the largest heart-shaped ring you asked for."

Finley let out a low chuckle. "Big enough to weigh down her whole hand. The rest of the blue diamonds will be designed into a matching necklace and earrings. They should all arrive in Capitolion by air this week."

"And your custom-designed wedding dress is being fine-tuned by Northmarch's top designer as we speak."

When Finley mentioned the dress, he couldn't help but needle Victor with a teasing lilt.

"Well, well, Crown Prince. You designed the wedding dress yourself-talk about sincerity. If I were Isa, I'd marry you on the spot. Hell, I'm tempted myself."

Victor's reply was curt. "Shut up."

Finley snickered. "Hey, I'm just happy for you. Nanette's been hounding me for days, asking when you're going to propose. I haven't said a word, I swear."

Just hearing the name Nanette soured Victor's mood. He knew Isadora was attending tonight's charity gala with her.
