Linda didn't press the waiter for answers regarding who sent her the teatime set. She simply moved aside, allowing the waiter to push the cart in.

Linda knew it was William who sent it. So, she didn't rush to see what was inside the cart, instead

enjoying her afternoon tea.

William still had a place in Linda's heart. After all, she had loved him for years. It was probably genuinely difficult for her to completely erase those feelings.

Linda had been deliberately distancing herself in a way.

If he had really been involved in what happened to John and Tom back then, including the medical team, Linda could never forgive him.

Although Riley's death was not directly caused by Tom, he was still liable for it. If he hadn't done nothing and merely stood by when he came back, maybe Riley would still be around.
