James smiled and looked at Elisa. “Girl, you try it too.”
He felt quite sorry for Elisa. This child has a hard life. If her dad had been around back then, she wouldn’t be in such situations.
Rachel handed Elisa a slice of cake. “Try it!”
Elisa smiled as she took it from Rachel.
James looked at the two of them cheerfully. “Tell me, why are you looking for me today?”
Elisa’s eyes flashed a little. She didn’t keep him in suspense and took out a proposal from her bag before she passed it to James. “Uncle James, take a look at this.”
James took it from her, puzzled. After reading part of it, there was clearly bewilderment in his eyes, and he was a lot more serious. Not long after, he read the whole proposal.
