Noelle wasn't surprised by the outcome of the match at all; she knew it would turn out like this.

If Lucas hadn't insisted on making Xenia the gunner and had instead brought in another expert, they probably wouldn't have lost so miserably-they might not have lost at all. Yet, Lucas had chosen Xenia as the gunner, probably trying to prove that she alone was enough for the team. It seemed Lucas' stubbornness hadn't changed a bit.

Noelle smiled at the thought. She wasn't sure if Lucas was satisfied with how things turned out, but she certainly was.

In her previous life, she had worked tirelessly to help the team win the championship, only to be replaced by Xenia at the last minute, who took all the credit for the victory.

This time, she stepped aside and watched as Lucas's team fell apart. Back on stage, Lucas stormed off without a word, his expression dark.
