The bodyguards, seeing Sean so distracted for the first time, didn’t dare to approach.

Maureen returned to the Governor’s Mansion, exhausted, and curled up on the couch. What she didn’t know was that at Estonia airport, her best friend Katherine had already bought a ticket in advance.

She would arrive in Karaville tonight.

Meanwhile, Jacob managed to buy a ticket for the same flight online and quietly followed other people, sneaking onto the plane.

At seven in the evening, as soon as Katherine got off the plane, she couldn’t wait to call Maureen.

She hadn’t noticed that behind her was a little one, not even as tall as a suitcase, wearing a tracksuit, a mask, and a

hat.

The little one was dragging a suitcase bigger than himself.

Other people looked over with strange expressions, but Katherine was still clueless.

There were quite a few accusing voices in the crowd.

“How can this mother let her child drag such a big suitcase?”

“These post–90s generation, really speechless.”

Katherine wondered, why do these people look like they want to eat me alive?

Only when the little boy’s voice–serious and wise yet soft–rang out did she realize disaster had struck.

“Mommy, you shouldn’t talk on the phone while walking. It’s not safe.”

Huh?

Katherine was baffled. When did she gain a son?

She turned to see a small figure dragging an oversized suitcase, masked and capped, with innocent eyes like obsidian. She nearly jumped out of her skin.

She wanted to curse. What now?

If Maureen found out her son had secretly followed her here, she’d go crazy!

The airport crowd, unaware, instantly melted with affection at the child’s words.
