Chapter 524 Aunt Or Granny

Bjorn carefully described his estate to Harrietta, noting the unmistakable look of longing that appeared on the young girl's face. A smile tugged at his lips, content and assured.

He was certain that once they arrived at Fairlake, Harrietta would fall in love with the place. In Clusian, there was a saying: "One is so absorbed in present joy, they forget their past sorrows." Lenora observed them as they conversed, then began scrolling through her phone.

Bjorn thought of something and turned to Harrietta. "Carol, where's your plane ticket? Let me take a look."

"It's with my Uncle Zachary. Why?" Harrietta's gaze shifted to Zachary, who sat across from her, reading a magazine.

"I want to see where you're seated," said Bjorn.

"First-class cabin, seat A in the first row," the young girl recalled clearly. "I specifically chose a window seat when I checked in."

Bjorn frowned. "Avril booked a bit late, and there were no first-class tickets left. When the flight was booked, only three first-class seats remained. Who's sitting next to you?"

The business class cabin of the flight was laid out with two aisles and a two-four-two seating arrangement. Harrietta had only one seat beside her, next to the aisle.

"Aunt Lenora," Harrietta replied.

"Oh." Bjorn glanced at Lenora, his disappointment evident. He had initially assumed it would be Zachary. In that case, he could have proposed a seat swap to Zachary, allowing him to sit next to his beloved granddaughter. As she listened to the conversation between the two, Lenora inadvertently glanced at Bjorn. In that brief moment, she instantly understood his thoughts-he wanted to sit with Harrietta.

Their eyes met, and Bjorn saw that Lenora had grasped his intentions. He expected her to say something, perhaps even offer to swap seats. However, Lenora merely looked away, feigning ignorance, and returned to her phone. Bjorn was left speechless. Had they not locked eyes, he might not have given it a second thought, but now, a sense of displeasure stirred within him.

The flight was delayed by half an hour, leaving Harrietta restless. She stood up and began to pace in the airport's waiting area.

Bjorn followed suit. "Carla, why don't you take me for a walk outside?"

Harrietta informed Zachary and Lenora, and the pair

"Mr. Wilson was wondering if you'd be willing to swap seats with him on the plane. His seat is in business class, and he's offering to pay double the fare." Lenora raised an eyebrow. He sent Avril here just to ask me this while he's not even around? Why can't he ask himself? Is it because I'm his daughter's rival and he can't swallow his pride? What a stubborn old man. Before she could speak, Zachary interjected, declining on her behalf. "Go and tell Mr. Wilson, no.
