Maxcus could tell what Jack meant by that question.

Jack was guessing that those four disguised humans were enemies of Maxcus' group.

Jack raised an eyebrow as he looked at the four that were in disguise with a sharp expression, trying to guess who they were.

They were on the Toman Battlefield. Normally, there was no need to kill each other unless there were any grudges. That was because killing each other did not yield any rewards unlike in Chaos City.

If anyone met each other, they would usually just observe each other from a distance. Those with ill intentions would mostly be like Tanner, threatening to kill others unless money was given.
