Chapter 104
No one was talking in the ward, and there was no sound other than the sound of eating as the grandfather and grandson barely spoke a word.
The nurse serving Zack found the situation a little odd. However, she stayed quiet, not daring to ask. After all, these two men were very powerful in Solaria.
Just as Zack was about to finish his dinner, he finally spoke and broke the silence. “I heard you haven’t been staying in the Valor Residence these days?
“Yeah,” Jackson responded plainly. He was not surprised about Zack’s knowledge of this. After all, someone in Valor Residence must have kept an eye on him and reported it to him.
“Where do you live now?”
“Elsewhere,” Jackson said.
“Why do you want to live outside?” Zack asked.

“Valor Residence is a little too quiet,” Jackson responded in a seemingly casual manner as he picked up another cooked shrimp and slowly peeled it.
“Speaking of which, you’re already at the age to get married. I’ll have my secretary compile a list of the city’s best women from prestigious families. You can pick from there.” Zack spoke with a relaxed tone, almost as if he was shopping for a piece of clothing
Jackson paused peeling the shrimp slightly. Then, he rejected Master Zack’s suggestion, “No need.”
Master Zack narrowed his eyes slightly. “Why not?”
“If it’s just finding a woman to have a child, I have a candidate ready,” Jackson answered.
Jackson used to think that if he needed a child as the heir to the Valor family, it did not matter who would carry his child. However, he now had a change of mind. If he needed a child, he wanted Serenity to be the mother of his child. It would be great if the child could inherit their genes.
“A candidate?” Master Zack was shocked, “Did you…”
Jackson’s cell phone rang abruptly, interrupting their conversation
Jackson was slightly startled and took a cheap cell phone from his pocket. He looked at the caller ID and answered the call, but his face suddenly changed as soon as he heard the voice from the other end of the phone.
“Jack…5-save me…
The woman had a cracked, rasping voice. Even so, he could recognize Serenity’s voice immediately. However, before he could ask any questions, the call was cut off. When he called again, the number was unreachable and went straight to voicemail.
Did Serenity get into trouble? Jackson paled, not realizing his face had turned ashen under the light.
He immediately told Master Zack, “Grandpa, I have something to do. I’ll be leaving first.”
