Chapter 168 Audrey

Edwin carried me inside, our wet clothes dripping snow onto the floor and carpet. I pulled away from his mouth, breathless and flushed from both the cold and the kiss

"Edwin, we'll make a mess," I whispered, glancing at the trail of melting snow we were leaving behind. Poor Hadley would likely have a heart attack.

He just grinned, his eyes dark with desire. "It'll dry," he growled, his voice sending shivers down my spine.

He carried me to the sitting room, where the fire was still c**kling merrily in the hearth. Gently, he laid me down on the plush carpet, the warmth from the fire immediately seeping into my cold skin. Edwin's hands were gentle as he began to remove my wet clothes. He tugged off my mittens first, bringing my cold hands to his lips. He kissed each fingertip, his breath warm against my skin. I shivered as he slipped one of my fingers into his mouth, his gray eyes meeting mine as he gently sucked the snow away.

"Edwin." I breathed, my voice trembling with a mixture of cold and arousal

He smirked, releasing my finger with a soft pop. "Just warming you up, love."

Slowly, he peeled off my wet sweater, his fingers trailing over my exposed skin. My breath hitched as the cool air hit my damp flesh, but Edwin's warm hands were quick to soothe the chill. Next, he unclasped my

Edwin chuckled, leaning down to press a kiss to my bare collarbone, "Patience, my love."

He continued to undress me, removing my pants and then my underwear until I was completely bare before him. I blushed under his intense gaze, feeling exposed and vulnerable, yet completely safe in his presence.

"Your turn," I said, reaching for the hem of his sweater.

Edwin stood, slowly removing his own wet clothes, his gaze never leaving mine the entire time. I watched, mesmerized, as he revealed his muscular body, glistening in the firelight. When he was finally nude, I couldn't help but stare at his arousal, already hard and ready for me.

As he knelt between my legs, a sudden thought occurred to me. "Wait," I said, propping myself up on my elbows. "What about the housekeeper? Won't he hear us?"

Edwin smirked, leaning down to nuzzle my neck. "Hadley is already asleep in his room. He has his own apartment on the opposite end of the house. No one will see us... or hear us. My face reddened even.
