Eros POV

The walk back to the pack house was rough, my thoughts kept going back to what Ares had said about going to the ball and how strongly he felt that our mate would be there as well.

'He's right though replies Deimos, my wolf who had been on edge lately especially after our last dream of the girl.

'But what if he's wrong?' I ask knowing there could be a slim chance that we could go home empty handed once more just like we had all those other times.

"He's not though, Me and Zeus are confident that OUR mate will be there and when we find her we'll protect her' comes Deimos's confession which shocks me, if only a little. 2 "That confident are we?' I chide, knowing that Deimos only rarely spoke when things were true otherwise he was mostly silent and let his brother handle most of everything else.

'I am' answers Deimos before moving towards the back of my mind which told me this discussion was over at the moment. Sighing I decided to give him space because after all it wasn't like he could just leave me because we were actually one and the same. "Eros?" calls my brother making me halt just short of the pack house.

"Yeah?" I answer back, my eyes now trained on those of my brother.

"Remember, where in this together and together we'll find Our Luna, Our Mate" replies Ares with a small smile before leading us inside.

"I know, thanks bro" is all I say as my feeling of uneasiness had suddenly subsided as if knowing that my brother was both bound and determined to find our mate and that no matter what

happened we would keep looking.

Unfortunately my sense of relief was short lived as it slowly grew into something along the lines. of disgust just as me and Ares slowly entered the pack house only to come face to face with an obnoxious sounding voice, one we had hoped to never hear again. "EROS! ARES! Oh how I missed you" comes the voice of Lily which makes us cringe by the tone, her body moving to embrace us making Deimos growl as well as Zeus for neither of them liked Lily and so didn't like it when she touched us. "L-Lily.... I thought you were still with family" I ask, my shock now pushed aside as I gazed at the
