Our Luna, Our Mate Chapter Eros's POV

After leaving our father's office, I quickly moved to follow my brother who was suddenly storming off towards the lower level of the pack house before moving to exit out the front door, his anger in full swing as pack members tried to move from the area. "Ares?" I called him, only to get the silent treatment as he continued onward.

"ARES!" I yell this time around as I swiftly move to grab him by the arm, attempting to stop him from going anywhere knowing that my brother was truly angry and had every right to be as well. ""WHAT?!" shouts Ares as he moves to look at me, his eyes narrowing rage as if he was ready to snap at the next person who crossed his path.

"Look, I know your angry, angry at father, angry at the council, angry in general but storming off like this isn't going to help us either. We need to figure this out" I say hoping to reason with him if only a little. "No Éros, nothing you or I say or do will ever fix this" replies Ares. "Father clearly doesn't care and if he does he shows it poorly, mother on the other hand hasn't said one word on the matter and the council acts like their shit doesn't stink."

"Whoa there, you can't honestly think that do you?" asks Kai as he and Lucas finally approach us once we had gotten far enough away from the pack house and any prying ears as we talked about what was going on. "I do" growls Ares as he turns to look at Kai. "I truly feel like our father doesn't care about anyone other than himself".

"But he's Alpha, he has to care" replies Lucas softly. "Yes, in some way he does. But it's an Alpha's job to care for what happens inside the pack just like we'll have to someday but when it comes down to his sons, he doesn't have to care so long as he listens to us" I state, my hands still holding onto Ares as I look to both of our Betas.

"That's... messed up" mutters Lucas as he shakes his head.

"Indeed it is but as his only sons, it's our responsibility as the next Alpha to know when things get rough, like with father and the mating ball" I say, hoping it would help clarify things.

"But still, he's making you go" comments Kai who couldn't understand that reasoning. Chapter 10
