Athena's POV

Next Day

It's about 8 o'clock in the morning when I finally begin to stir, the events leading up to last night slowly returning to me as tears begin to rise, attempting to hold them at bay, the presence of having both of my mates nearby comforting. I can't cry now... I have to stay strong, for them, for my children but most of all my family. They need me and because of that I can't afford to be weak, I reply to myself, trying to get myself mentally prepared for what is about to happen. Sighing, I move to take deep even breaths before attempting to wiggle myself free of my mates only for them to hold me closer, a voice ringing in my ear as they did.

"And where do you think you're going little mate?" purrs the voice of Eros, his voice along with Ares always sexy in the morning. A soft inaudible moan rising as he did. Fuck, why did their voices always have to be so sexy when waking up. Then as if realizing what I needed to do I move to whisper back, "I need to use the bathroom" I say, hoping he would let me leave because of that, and he does, unwrapping is arms form around my waist as does Ares, having been semi-awake when I spoke. Taking that as my chance to escape I quickly dash for the bathroom, the need to pee urgent as I go to relieve my bladder. Biting my lip, I moved to remember every single word she had said to me, words I feared for I wasn't ready to die yet, and a part of me was trying to get myself to believe that I wouldn't, that my mates would help me find Lily and end this once and for all. 'No one's dying on my watch sweetheart, not if I can help it' purrs Artemis, hoping to help comfort me.

'Please, don't make promises that we can't keep, for theirs no guarantee that we'll live to see another day once Lily gets ahold of us' I move to say to her, knowing it was true.

'Stop it, by thinking in that tone of voice, you all but let Lily win' snaps Artemis, not wanting to accept our fate so soon.

'But you know it's true' I whisper back.

'So, doesn't mean it has to be though, only we have the power to change our fate, not some whore who's slept with the whole entire pack of Mystic Shadow. Not even the Moon Walker Pack can decide our fate, only us' remarks Artemis.

Taking her words into account, I know she's right, she's always been right, but being the ever stubborn person that I was I could never bring myself to tell her that, not wanting to add to her already big ego that kept growing every time she was right about something, 'You know I'm right' purrs Artemis.

'So... Doesn't mean I have to admit that to you' I murmur, not ready to admit defeat until there's a knock on the bathroom door.
