-Next Day-

Waking up the next day was complete and utter bliss for Athena. Her mates both sound asleep right next to her even as she slowly begins to stir, a smile slowly gracing her features as she carefully moves to climb from the bed.

The house still silent as Adrian and his siblings were still staying with Gwen and Alarick. The weekend belonging to Athena as her birthday was fast approaching and soon she would be turning twenty.

'Are you excited?' asks Artemis as she slowly stirs within Athena's mind.

'Excited? For what?' questions Athena, as she slowly makes her way downstairs to begin cooking breakfast for her and her mates.

"Why your birthday, of course, admitted Artemis.

Scoffing at the word birthday, Athena moves to speak up, 'Excited? How can I be when all my previous past ones have been nothing but lies. Nothing but pain. There's never been one birthday where my uncle and aunt would shower me with love or attention or even presents. No, all they ever showed me was pain. My last known birthday where I ever felt loved or happy was when I was 9 years old. The last birthday I ever celebrated with my parents was right before the Rogue King came and took it all away from me, including my happiness.'

'I know your birthdays haven't been the greatest and the way that your family has treated you horribly, but try to think of this as a new beginning. A birthday you could share with those you love. Remember, you have your uncles back, you have mates, a Beta, a Gamma an Delta who also love you. You have Elise and Cara, who you now consider friends. 'I know.. It's just hard to let go of the past,' whispered Athena, just as she moved to enter the kitchen, deciding on making a huge breakfast. A breakfast that consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, toast, coffee, juice, the whole 9 yards. Starting with the pancakes, Athena moves to gather all the necessary ingredients to make the batter. Once done with that, she moves to grab a rather large mixing bowl and whisk before slowly adding each of the ingredients into the bowl before slowly working on the batter

I hope they like this, murmurs Athena's mind, content on surprising her mates with a well deserved breakfast like when they cooked for
