Penny sat quietly in her spot as a small group of nurses and non-uniformed doctors entered the CEO's office. They assessed her as they came in, just like how Penny studied each of them.

No words were spoken since they arrived, making every small sound they made seem louder than it should have.

Penny watched them carefully check Zoren's blood pressure, heart rate, and eyes, even drawing some blood from him. After that, they gave him a bunch of medicines to take. For now, they put him on an IV for some other things because, apparently, Zoren was catching a mild fever.

'A fever, and yet, I didn't even notice,' she thought, pursing her lips. Even now that I know he's running a mild fever, I can't tell.'

Was it because Zoren had become an expert at hiding his illnesses that even the sharp Penny

was deceived?

'I should tell the guys so they're aware,' she quickly made a mental note.

"Sir Zoren, please, if possible, conduct all your meetings today in your office. That way, you won't strain your body," said the doctor with a tinge of helplessness, as if he knew there was no use in saying this. "For now, this IV will lower your temperature and prevent it from becoming a serious flu."

Zoren nodded.

*We'll be back later with your lab results and to check your eyes again. The doctor lowered his head and cast a look at Penny. He nodded slightly at her as well before they quietly left the

office.

Penny followed the group with her gaze. From their actions, it seemed they had been looking after Zoren's health for quite some time now,

"I'm sorry for making you wait, Miss Penelope," Zoren said with a smile.

"You have a fever, Mr. Pierson."

"It's a mild fever. I get it every other day, so it's not a big deal.

So was the recent accident he was in.

Penny pressed her lips into a thin line, staring at her husband with sharp eyes. "Take care of yourself, Mr. Pierson. Being sick all your life... doesn't mean you have to get used to it." "Even if I don't want to, I have to, he replied just as calmly. "Just like how I had to trust you. I had no choice.
