Chapter 503: She's only an hour away.

Today was not only the first meeting between the two families, but also the day Penny would move in with Zoren. Although she wasn't carrying much—just a small bag of clothes for a few days-the Bennet family still sent them off together.

"Take care, okay?" Allison stroked Penny's hair with a smile. This time, she wasn't crying, knowing her daughter was in good hands. Moreover, Penny had told them she'd be back after a day or two since she hadn't packed her things properly.

"Mom, you're not crying this time," Penny joked, only to hear Charles sniffle. Everyone turned to look at him, standing beside Allison, wiping his tears.

"Mom, did Dad steal your tears?" Penny quipped quietly, surprised that her father, not her mother, was the one getting emotional.

Allison sighed, still smiling. "Let him be. Your father's gotten more emotional as he's aged."

"It's not like Penny is going abroad," Atlas murmured. "She's only an hour away." "Atlas, it's better to shut up now," Charles warned through his tears.

Hugo nodded in agreement, casting a glance at his older brother. As for Slater, he jumped over to Old Mrs. Pierson's side.

"Grandma, can I visit you?" he asked shamelessly. "I'm on a long vacation, and I don't have anything else to do."

Old Mrs. Pierson chuckled and nodded. "Of course! My home is always open to all of you!" She then glanced at Butler Hubert.

"Old Madam is right," Butler Hubert affirmed with a slight bow. "You may come by anytime, Third Master."

"Sweet!" Slater giggled, his eyes lighting up. Though his intentions were partly to curry favor, he also expected Zoren and Old Mrs. Pierson's home to be somewhat close. Little did he know, while the Old Residence and Zoren's place might be close, the hectares of land surrounding each made the travel quite long.
