Chapter 936: A sudden proposal

"Finn?"

Was Nina dreaming?

That was the first question that came to her mind. How could she not wonder? Just earlier today, Finn had been lying on a hospital bed, the same as he had for the past weeks. He couldn't just wake up and come to her. If anything, he should still be in the hospital for checkups to know the next steps of his recovery and for him to rest more to prepare his body for rehabilitation.

Even though he still looked pale and sickly, showing signs of his poor health, she couldn't believe her eyes. Hence, she denied what was in front of her.

"Haha..." She let out a helpless laugh, shaking her head slightly. "I must be imagining this because I kept hearing his name all day."

Today, of all days, Nina had heard Finn's name more often than ever before.

Everyone had been talking about him-mentioning him, reminiscing-and Nina had found herself doing the same. More than she ever had in the past. Even back then-way back when Finn had been pursuing her-she'd avoided talking about him. She would mention him and their relationship in passing but never delved into it deeply. She wasn't sure why.

But today, almost every conversation she'd had seemed to circle back to Finn. That was likely the reason she thought she was hallucinating now. After all, she'd had a few drinks. Not enough to get her drunk or tipsy, but enough to make her mood unpredictable.

With that thought, Nina smacked her lips and forced a smile.
