Chapter 1377: Damn, this is easy.

[Skyline Plaza: The Old Pierson Residence]

Penny sat on the edge of the bed, pausing as Zoren's voice came from behind her.

"Where are you headed?" he asked, half asleep. "Penny?"

She glanced back at him and slid over. "Home," she said, poking his nose lightly. "Renren, I just need to pick up something. Maybe I'll go for a morning run too."

"It's morning already?" He frowned. "Wait for me. I'll go with you."

"Nope." Penny shook her head, making him pout. "Renren, I'll be back for breakfast. Besides, I can't focus when you're around. So, you stay."

Zoren clicked his tongue softly, pulling her into his arms. "Just stay here," he murmured, his voice husky. "Don't go."

"I'll be back-" she cooed, giggling in his embrace. "Promise."

"Before I wake up?" he asked, making Penny pause for a second.

"Sure." She grinned. "You won't even notice I was gone."

Zoren sighed heavily but reluctantly let her go. Staying at the old residence had become part of their routine, especially since Penny had to monitor Old Mrs. Pierson regularly. Still, he knew she had sent Mark on an errand tonight, and she'd been waiting for the results. She was even quite excited about it.

"Come back," he said one last time, watching her crawl away from him. "Or I'll come get you."
