Most lights in the separate guesthouse of the residence were shut off. With barely any light from outside penetrating the windows, Penny could barely see the person lying unconscious on the bed-the same bed Nathaniel had used when he was here.

Penny sat in a chair a few meters from the bed, arms crossed under her chest.

"I thought abducting Jonathan would fill this place," she whispered, narrowing her eyes. "But I guess you should expect the unexpected."
