Chapter 1684: He put a hit on her, huh?

Dean never liked Naylani Pierson.

He never met her, but he hated her even before he could understand the meaning of the word.

Why?

The reason was simple.

It was Naylani who made Zoren sick. If Zoren weren't sick, he wouldn't have to get

all that attention as the sickly child. Zoren wouldn't have to just sit around and not play with him. And Dean wouldn't have gotten scolded if he forced him to play when they were children.

If not for Naylani, things would surely be different.

Zoren might be more normal. He might attend school just like Dean and Ray, compete with them, lose at one point, and manage to form proper bonds rather than one founded on pity and guilt.

It was all Naylani's fault.

For stabbing a child, attempting to burn him, and then hanging herself because she knew she deserved to rot in jail.

On top of that, Naylani was the reason... Dean felt like his father was just a piece of crap. Not because of Naylani directly, but because of Enzo Pierson. Because even after everything, Dean still caught a glimpse of what a father should be to their children.

His memory of Enzo Pierson was short and fragmented, but he remembered envying Zoren for having a father like that man. A man who took the role of not just a father but also Zoren's mother. Not someone like Dean's father, who had made him wonder one thing while growing up.

When would he bring home another woman? Or say he had another child from another woman? How many more bastards would he confess to having, and how many more would Dean have to listen to in some child support discussions?

The last time he heard that his father had another child from his mistress was a few years ago.

Talk about why everyone from the first branch of the Pierson Family supported Dean, instead of his father.

It wasn't Naylani's fault, and he knew that, but he still wanted to blame her for it because she deserved hell.

Naylani, who surely had grown older than the one Dean managed to peek at many years ago, didn't
