Not hearing Holden’s voice, Elysia held her phone closer to her eyes. When she saw that the call was still connected, she put it back to her ear. “Holden, are you still there?”

Getting back on track after hearing the cool tone, Holden said, “I’m sorry. I just drifted away for a moment.”

Elysia answered, “It’s alright.”

After ending the call, Elysia took the design sketches from her drawer and made a few minor changes. With about twenty days left to deliver the evening gown to Zane, she needed to refine it more and start getting ready for production.

The next morning, as soon as Elysia arrived at school, she was hit with negative comments about Emma.

“I can’t believe how shameless she is. After everything she’s done, she still has the nerve to come to school.”
