Chapter 101

When they got to Class 6, they immediately noticed Justin leaning against the railing outside the classroom, waiting

He had a notebook in one hand while his other hand rested casually in his pocket. His sharp and handsome features were framed by a pair of gold–rimmed glasses, making him look even more refined and intelligent.

He wore a short–sleeved school uniform T–shirt with dark blue casual pants, and with the sunlight hitting him just right, he looked like the male lead straight out of a campus romance drama,

Ava was momentarily dazed by the sight of him. “Elysia, do you think life is really fair?”

“Hum?” Elysia raised an eyebrow, not sure why Ava was asking that out of nowhere.

Ava kept talking as if lost in her own thoughts. “It’s bad enough that he’s a genius, but does he also have to look this good? How are we normal people supposed to compete?

“I finally understand why everyone calls him the school hunk. I never really looked at him properly before, but now that I do, he really is something.”

Then, as if a light bulb went off in her head, she suddenly turned to Elysia with an excited expression. “Elysia, I just realized -you and Justin would be such a perfect match.”

“Huh?” yelled Elysia.

Ava continued, “Think about it. Justin’s a genius, and so are you. He’s the school hunk, and you–well, even though you never entered the school beauty contest, you’d totally outshine Emma, the girl who actually won.

“If you two aren’t a perfect match, then I’ll write my name backward!”

Hearing Ava’s over–the–top reasoning, Elysia’s face immediately darkened. “Stop it. Don’t try to play matchmaker.”

“How is this matchmaking? I’m just stating facts,” said Ava.

They weren’t far from Class 6, and Ava wasn’t exactly whispering Justin clearly overheard and raised an eyebrow as he looked over. “A perfect match for what?”

“Uh…” Ava hesitated, suddenly at a loss for words.

How was she supposed to say this? Was she just going to come right out and tell him that she thought he and Elysia looked great together? If Justin agreed, that’d be one thing, but if he didn’t, wouldn’t that be super awkward for Elysia?

And let’s be real–if she actually said it, Elysia would probably murder her. Running away was definitely the best move here. After a quick mental debate, she forced an awkward smile at Justin. “Oh… nothing. You must’ve misheard.”

Then she turned to Elysia with a sly grin. “Elysia, I won’t get in your way. You guys enjoy your conversation.”

Before either of them could say anything, she bolted into the classroom.
