About twenty minutes later, a black sedan pulled up in front of the hospital. Robert got out of the car, took a few steps forward, and then turned around. Leaning against the car window, he finally said, “Thank you.”

When he saw Elysia nod in response, he walked away.

“No, I’m going to the Scented Garden,” she replied.
