About twenty minutes later, a black sedan pulled up in front of the hospital. Robert got out of the car, took a few steps forward, and then turned around. Leaning against the car window, he finally said, “Thank you.”

When he saw Elysia nod in response, he walked away.

“Ms. Rosewood, are you heading home?” the driver asked.

“No, I’m going to the Scented Garden,” she replied.

The driver started the engine and drove towards the Scented Garden. Although he didn’t know why Elysia wanted to go there, he remembered how she had handled things in the past, so he didn’t ask questions.

After all, he was just the driver, focused on doing his job.

When they arrived at the Scented Garden, Elysia got out of the car and walked inside. The receptionist saw her and broke into a smile. “Ms. Rosewood, please wait; Ms. Gordon will be here shortly.”

Elysia nodded quietly. Just then, Nicole walked in with her high heels clicking on the floor, exuding confidence. “Why are you here so early?” she asked.

“I happen to have some free time,” Elysia said.

Nicole nodded and put an arm around Elysia as they walked together.

“Ms. Gordon is especially nice to Ms. Rosewood,” one of the receptionists commented, watching them with envy.

“Ms. Rosewood owns half of this place,” another receptionist chimed in.

“You’re new here, so it’s fair you don’t know. I was here for quite a while before discovering that. I’m not completely sure about the details, but just remember, don’t cross Ms. Rosewood.”

The new girl nodded. Nicole led Elysia into an office, turned a statue on a bookshelf, and unlocked a hidden compartment. “Go on in.”
