Chapter 97

Chapter 97:

As the final minute ticked away, Khloe laid her pen down with deliberate calm. Unlike Sloane’s densely packed exam, Khloe’s answers were brief and to the point.

“Done!” Khloe declared, her voice sharp and steady, cutting through the tense silence of the room.

Sloane couldn’t resist a smug jab. “Khloe, don’t you think you’re being a bit careless? How about we scrap the bet? Apologize to Dorothy, and I’ll ensure your failure isn’t broadcasted for everyone to hear.”

Sloane continued her act, plastering on a sickeningly sweet smile. Her fake generosity was so over-the-top, it was almost unbearable to watch.

Khloe shot her a frosty glare. “You honestly think you can outdo me? Is that because you had a heads-up on the test?”

Sloane’s face stiffened, her gaze darting away. “Khloe, what do you mean? I did this all on my own,” she claimed, trying to appear innocent. “Khloe, how could you say that about me? I’d never stoop to such a disgrace.”
