Everything that happened in front of Maddox was like an illusion.

"If it wasn't an illusion, why would there be a little fellow who looked exactly the same as me? And why would he call me daddy and call Minerva mommy?" Maddox thought to himself. "Could he be our son?"

"If it was only an illusion, then why was the pain in my feet so realistic? It was so realistic as if everything had truly happened."
