Vera had intentionally bought a long-distance ticket f so they would have to stay on the train for nearly two days.

Initially, Vera thought it would be a walk in the park.

At first, Vera wept constantly as the strange silence surrounded her.

Soon, she fell asleep, exhausted from crying.
