After Emma went abroad, she learned from Susanna that Crystal was not pregnant at all. The pregnancy reportwas something Crystal had forged in order to destroy her relationship with Trevor.
Despite learning about the stunt Crystal had pulled on her, she had not despised Crystal.
That was because her marriage with Trevor would never have worked out even without Crystal’s intervention.
Trevor did not love her.
That was the real reason why she gave up on the relationship completely.
In any case, she had never told Trevor about what Crystal did to her.
They had already goiten divorced after all.
What was the point of worrying about something like that? Nevertheless, she couldn’t help thinking thatit was ironic.
Trevor had always claimed that she was scheming against him all the time and that she had an insidious mind.
But, how much better was he when he was always cmotionally unavailable?
When Susanna saw how calm Emma was,she couldn’t help making a joke.
“You might not be monopolizing Trevor anymore, but what happens if he keeps clinging on toyou instead?” Emma felt as though she had just heard the funniest joke in her life.
She responded to Susanna in exasperation.
“Superstar Susanna, have you gotten stupid from all the acting you’ve been doing at work? Why would he cling to me?”
