It was obvious that Trevor had guessed Emma's reaction long ago, and he was very satisfied with it.

Didn't she always want to draw a line with him and stay away from him? Now, the house Wilson gave her was actually next to his.

Trevor suppressed a smile and continued, "I hope we'll be great neighbors in the future."

The property in Sky Bay was developed by Bateson Group, so he had naturally kept a villa for himself.

He and Emma had been living in their marriage house since they got married. Yesterday, he was shocked when he heard that Emma had been given a house in Building 28. After asking the property's management, he found out that Emma moved in yesterday afternoon. Hence, he also asked the moving company to move his stuff overnight.

Emma finally regained her senses. She asked Trevor in disbelief, "How can you live next door so coincidentally?"

"Don't worry, I certainly didn't buy it yesterday. It would've been too late, wouldn't it?" Trevor said truthfully. "To be honest, I already own some real estate here. It's the one next door."

When he saw Emma's annoyed expression, Trevor said slowly, "It must be a special fate for us to become neighbors."

His words were clearly provoking her, so Emma simply closed the door to keep him out.

What kind of special fate was that? It was simply a bad fate!

Emma originally liked this house very much, but now that Trevor was her neighbor, all her joy of moving to a new house was gone. If she knew this was the case, she wouldn't have moved at all.

Initially, she lived in an ordinary old apartment, whereas Trevor lived in a luxury villa by the sea. The two were far away, and he would have to drive for half an hour to visit her.

As soon as Emma returned home, she received a message from Trevor on her phone that read, 'Let's have dinner together tonight and celebrate us both for moving into new homes.'

She had been thinking of asking Susanna and Cerys to come over for dinner at night to celebrate her moving into a new home, but she was not in the mood to celebrate anymore. In fact, she wanted to move out!

After weakly throwing herself onto the bed, Emma held the phone and complained to Susanna that she and Trevor had become neighbors.

Susanna laughed over the phone. "My God, what kind of special fate is this between the two of you?!"

She then said to Emma sternly, "Emma, I think you should make up with Trevor. Look at how Mr. Young and his wife spent so much time picking out a house for you, yet they sent you to live next door to Trevor. I'm speechless myself. This is fate!"

Emma felt a headache coming on. "What's the matter with you? When did you become so superstitious? He's just a neighbor, and he can't do anything to me."

When Susanna spoke about reconciling with Trevor, Emma suddenly calmed down.

They merely became neighbors, so why was she upset about that?

Just as Emma's voice fell, she suddenly heard a sound from outside the balcony as if someone was calling her.

She went out and saw that it was Trevor calling her from the balcony next door.

Emma almost fainted when she saw the distance between them.

Since it was a semi-detached villa, the balconies of the two bedrooms were very close with a distance of only two or three meters.
