Chapter 187

Zachary said to Adam half-jokingly, "Young man, restrain yourself and be careful; Mr. Bateson will damage you."

Adam said solemnly, "Love has no status nor age restrictions. I can't lose the right to pursue love just because I'm young or because my social status is not as good as Mr. Bateson."

After Adam finished speaking, he looked at Trevor provocatively. "If Mr. Bateson damages me because I am also pursuing Emma, it would be too unreasonable."

Emma's headache was becoming worse. Adam and Trevor were going up against each other. Was there any way to continue this meal?

Susanna looked like she was watching a good show, and she sat there watching the fun with Zachary.

Fortunately, Trevor did not continue to confront Adam. Instead, he said lightly, "Indeed, I won't damage you."

He would only let Adam see what it meant not to understand one's importance. Adam wanted to grab his love interest from him? He really doesn't know what he's worth.

In order to ease the atmosphere, Zachary changed the subject. "Emma, I heard that Dr. Spencer—the one who gave you psychotherapy last time—likes Adam very much, so why don't you ask her to come over too?"

Zachary then added, "I'll call Kaleb over too."

Before Emma could answer, Trevor expressed his dissatisfaction from the side. "Are you planning to have a party tonight?"

Zachary had messed up Trevor's candlelight dinner, and was he trying to turn Trevor's place into a large party scene now?

Zachary exclaimed, "Wow, I haven't thought of that. Why don't we have a party?"

Having said this, he added with regret, "Speaking of which, we haven't had a decent party for many years, and some even completely quit the entertainment scene of our group after they got married. Actually, he is still a traditional man."

Zachary spoke this to Emma in a meaningful way as if to praise Trevor for being a good man.

Susanna answered and snorted coldly, "Is he really a good man who loves his family? It's a pity that no one could feel the slightest bit of your love for your family back then."

The woman spoke like a philosopher. "To love your family, you must first love the person you formed a family with."

Emma held Susanna to stop her from talking. It wasn't Trevor's fault that he didn't love her back then.

Love was something that no one could force, after all.

Susanna pursed her mouth and deliberately went up against Trevor by supporting Zachary's proposal. "I raise my hand in favor of the party. If Mr. Bateson doesn't like it, we'll go to Emma's house next door."

They could go to her place too.

If there were too many people around, Trevor couldn't use his charms on Emma. Susanna felt joyful to be able to negatively affect Trevor.

Adam also followed Susanna and said, "I agree as well."

Once Adam finished speaking, all eyes fell on Trevor and Emma, waiting for their answers.

Emma spoke. "In that case, the minority should obey the majority."

It was obvious that the two of them were the protagonists of celebrating the housewarming today, but they had to listen to others.

However, Emma thought it would be good to have a lively scene. She had said before that she wanted to invite Yvette to dinner, and it happened that Adam was there tonight, which saved a lot of trouble.

Trevor was dissatisfied with Emma's compromise, so he turned away and didn't say anything, but he also indirectly acquiesced to the decision of having a party.

Emma had agreed. Hence, there was no point for him to object.

As such, Zachary started to contact Kaleb. Moreover, he called his own restaurant and ordered someone to bring more dishes, desserts, and fruits. The more people gathered, the more they would eat.

After Emma called Yvette over, Zachary suddenly said, "Don't you have a good relationship with Cerys? Why don't you call her?"

After Zachary's words fell, Trevor suddenly turned his head to stare at him, his eyes full of warning.

He had told Zachary to stop provoking Cerys, so why was Zachary asking Emma to call her?

Zachary spread his hands. "I'm just reminding Emma not to forget any of her friends."

Emma didn't notice anything wrong, so she walked aside and called Cerys. She said that she would come to the party later.

Half an hour later, the staff of Zachary's restaurant delivered a lot of delicious food again, and everyone who was supposed to arrive had also come.

When Cerys knocked on the door, Zachary opened the door for her. Since it was outside of the workplace, Cerys dressed casually. She did away with her sophisticated makeup and stylish clothes in the workplace, looking like she was a 26-year-old girl.

Zachary looked at the fresh-looking girl in front of him, his expression slightly startled.

Cerys greeted him politely and distantly, "Mr. Manson."

After she finished speaking, she walked into the house.

She had taken a shower just before she came, and when she passed Zachary, her fragrance wafted into his nose, making him feel good.

Zachary felt that he was a little obsessed.
