Chapter 565

Nadine had always been a gentle woman who greeted everyone with a warm

smile. But all that went out the window when it came to Brad. As soon as she saw him, her demeanor would shift in an instant, and she'd put up her guard as if she was ready to stab the man she found utterly repulsive.

Hence, the sight of Brad, the ever-busy man, coming to pick Sean up made her blood boil. For heaven's sake, the two of them were on the brink of a divorce. Why couldn't he just sign the damn papers, run off to his first love, and leave her in peace?

Why did he have to keep pestering her? Why did he have to keep showing up right under her nose all the damn time? "He's so fucking annoying!" she cursed inwardly.

Nadine didn't want to talk to Brad, so she vented her frustration on Sean. Did he forget who gave birth to him? How dare he be this close to that bastard?

Sean noticed the displeasure in his mother's eyes and immediately put on a pitiful expression, looking up at her with sad eyes. "Mommy, I really want to eat it... just this once. Please, can we go? It's been forever since I last had it!"

Ever since she moved out of Phoenix Villa, Nadine had to balance work, school, and raising Sean. It drained most of her energy, and she rarely had time to take him out to eat.
