Nadine and Sebastian stood side by side in the elevator, its polished walls reflecting their faces with striking clarity.

Even though she was gazing at their reflections, she wasn't looking at anything in particular. She was just lost in thought. When Sebastian abruptly spoke up, she snapped out of her daze, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Her cheeks flushed a bright red as she awkwardly averted her gaze. "Huh? I wasn't—That's absolutely not the case!" Worried he might misunderstand, she waved her hands repeatedly.
