The Janctera Evening News had published a short novel, written in the first

person from a female perspective.

The protagonist of the novel was named Norine Scott, oddly similar to Nadine's

name. The male lead was named Brett Hamilton, which was also similar to Brad's

name.

The story was of a girl named Norine Scott. After losing her boyfriend to death,

she met a man who looked exactly like him. This man, named Brett Hamilton,

eventually became her target of affection. She then went to great lengths to marry

him.

After their marriage, however, Brett did not treat Norine well. He was cold and

indifferent. In his heart, there was only his first love, Jean Sailor. Unable to endure

such a life, Norine eventually divorced him in a fit of rage.

This story was exceedingly simple, devoid of a proper ending. Regardless, it

caused an uproar. Everyone knew exactly who the novel was alluding to, and the

slight name changes left no room for doubt.

As a result, the past scandals involving Brad, Jack, and Nadine were dragged

back into the spotlight.
