Brad was beyond disgusted with Zara. He pulled out his phone and immediately sent a message to the director of Harborview Hospital, demanding Zara's immediate dismissal for her unprofessional behavior.

It didn't take long for the director to respond. Once he dealt with Zara, Brad noticed that Nadine was swaying, barely able to stay upright.

As soon as he saw her start to slide to the floor, he scooped her into his arms. It was then that he realized— despite the thin fabric between them, he could feel the intense heat radiating from her skin.

"Do you have a fever?" he asked, reaching out to touch her forehead.

Just then, Nadine lifted her arms and wrapped them around his waist. Brad was a man—and a healthy one at that. It had been months since he'd last been intimate with her.
