Chapter 79

"Keep the ice on for a little longer. Just as the ice was being removed, the door to the infirmary was pushed open. Xavier and Selena entered, followed by Yvette and her parents, Jack and Melissa.

"You wretched woman! Give me back my daughter! The police have taken her away. You need to go to the station right now and get her released." Selena shouted, pointing at Yasmine.

Xavier, though still somewhat rational, was shocked when he saw Yasmine's injuries. However, his expression darkened upon noticing Yonas's presence. He said, "Yasmine, you're taking this too far, don't you think? I apologize on behalf of my sister, but you shouldn't have called the police. We'll cover any compensation, but can you please get her out first?"

"Xavier, you think I'm going too far? Take a good look at what your mother and sister have done. Yasmine took out her phone and opened the previous posts. Then she tossed her phone to Xavier.

Selena felt a pang of guilt, but the thought of Helen being detained consumed her with worry. After all, the Flynn family held a prestigious position in the Soucrity, and Helen's arrest could tarnish their reputation.

"Yasmine, if you have any grievances, take them out on me. Leave Helen out of it. Isn't it because Xavier didn't want you anymore that you've been targeting Helen? I warn you, go get her out now, or I won't let you off Selena said, her face flushed with urgency. "Mom, how could you post something like this? My divorce from Yasmine is between us. Xavier said, his face turning red with embarrassment at Selena and Helen's actions.

Yvette approached and wrapped her arm around Xavier's, speaking softly, "Xavier, don't blame your mom and Helen. They were just looking out for you, trying to protect you."

She then turned to Yasmine and said, "Ms. Sanchez, they realize their mistake now and they won't bother you again. Please let it go. After all, we're all living in Soucrity. It wouldn't good for any of us."

Yvette was equally anxious. Helen's actions had already affected the Flynn family's reputation, and even she was feeling the repercussions.

Yonas cast a cold glance at the Flynn family, especially at Xavier. He said, "The Flynn family has truly made me surprise."

"Mr. Russell, what do you mean by that?" Xavier asked, his brow furrowing

"Your sister hurt Yasmine, and you don't even offer a word of concern. Instead, you come in with accusations, and your mother barges in, shouting insults. Your family is truly impressive!" Yonas's tone was cold as his words were sarcastic, "Mr. Russell, you're quite the good friend to Yasmine. Wherever she is, there you are." Xavier retorted.

He said, "You flatter me. But you and Ms. Grant are the ones who
