In the bar, as the noise grew louder and men and women got closer, Yonas found himself oddly calm. He had a booth to himself, his side littered with empty boodles as he kept ordering more. He tilted his head back, downing the bottle in hand.

Drinking too much would get you drunk, and though the last time Yonas drank he had gotten plastered, tonight his mind remained sharp even as he wished for the escape of inebriation

It wasn't until he finished the third bottle that his mind started to feel fuzzy, everything around him blurring with doubles. Just then, a woman slid into the seat beside him, her lips painted a bright red, her whole look excessively flashy. "Hey handsome," she said, her tone teasingly sultry. "drinking alone! I'm on my own too, why don't we drink together?"

The woman was doused in cheap perfume, its smell nauseating. Yonas waved her away, motioning for her to leave. But she was persistent, leaning towards him, her chest thrust forward, her voice a flirtatious purr. "Come on, handsome, look at me! Let's have a drink together?"

She reached out to refill Yonas's drink, but he snatched it back before she could pour. "Get lost," he snapped impatiently.

The woman's expression soured, puzzled. From his appearance-attractive, stylishly dressed, sipping on expensive liquor-she knew he must be local Just as she opened her mouth to press further, his cold eyes bore into hers. "Didn't you understand the first time?" Finally, the woman stood up, annoyed, muttering. "What a nutcase as she stormed off.

Finally getting a moment of peace, Yonas felt like his head was going to explode. He remembered the last time he went to see Yasmine, she still cared about him, all because of Irene....

At 2:30 in the morning, the Victory Bar was about to close. The crowd dispersed, and all the blonde and blue-eyed patrons left. Only Yonas and a waiter remained inside. The waiter, also from the same country, saw Yonas leaning on a couch and went over to pat him. "Sir, we're closing! Sir, wake up
