Chapter 819

Both men slumped exhausted in the booth. The women who'd been draped over Leon fled at the first sign of violence, though a few bold gold-diggers tried approaching to help him up. Leon shoved them away roughly. "Get lost!"

After what had just happened, he had no appetite for his usual entertainment.

James waved over a server. "Bring me some bottles."

Within minutes, the table was lined with liquor. The server uncorked bottles and filled two glasses.

"Everyone out. Stop lurking around here." The staff hurried away.

James knocked back his drink and looked at Leon with bewilderment. "Why are you still here? Want me to hit you again?"

"I know exactly who you are, Mr. Chancer. The thing is, we're not enemies-we're cut from the same cloth." Leon's smile turned shrewd. "You're her ex-husband, but I can see it in your eyes-you're still in love with her. She's getting cozy with Zachary now, and that kills you as much as it kills me. Truth is, we only have one real enemy: Zachary."

James drained another glass. Before Leon even laid out his scheme, James could see exactly where this was going. "You want to team up?"
