Chapter 40 40: Hitting on you

Eveline quickly took a shower and got ready. She had a few from the snack and juice Susan brought for her when a maid came and announced Gabriel's arrival.

"Tell him to wait in the study room for me," she said, and the maid departed.

Eveline thought that Gabriel dictated how her life should go. She was supposed to go to bed, but the idea of him coming to her house kept her awake. And not to forget about Aunt Belle's words.
