Chapter 90 90: I want money

With the note smashed in her hand, Tiffany hurried to her feet and bolted from the classroom.

She kept on walking until she reached the girl's washroom.

She hurried inside, taking the empty hallway as a sign that no one would be passing because classes were about to resume.

With a heavy breath, she opened her palm and looked at crumbled note.

Tiffany was unsure if anyone had discovered her plan, but she was also unable to say for sure because she had been so meticulous in its execution.

But then, when it was evidently a threat from someone who was aware of her reality, she was unable to remain motionless.

With her eyes dangerously fixed on the mirror, she fisted her palm and said, "I need to find the person."

Alex, meanwhile, had been behaving aloof ever since he found out about the physical examination.

These three years in Aspen passed without any hint related to his state. However, he doubted the faculty would permit him to continue studying at the college if they found out about his condition.

The main worry for Alex's parents had always been his mental instability and they were eventually able to put their trust in their medication, which helped him maintain his sanity, after speaking with several doctors.

However, if the outcome worked against him, then everyone would discover that his parents had concealed a very important fact from them.

Alex's gaze wavered, his mind gradually losing its composure as it began to process all the possibilities.

"What happened? Why do you seem so lost?" He blinked rapidly to hide his anger as Eveline's voice jolted him out of his reverie and he turned to face her.

"Are you worried about the checkup?" She asked, startling Alex momentarily. But since she already knew part of it, there was nothing to keep hidden from her.

Without hesitation, Alex nodded, his eyes softening at the sight of her worried expression.

"Do not worry, everything will work out," she comforted, keeping the truth hidden.

Alex simply nodded but deep inside he wanted an escape from this situation before things went out of his hands.
